Live A "Thank You" Life
Many people are constantly unhappy and sad because they focus on complaining about everything they don't like that is happening to them in their life. The problem with this is that complaining doesn't make bad things go away. There are always more trying experiences waiting around the corner. The only way for you to take charge and disallow them from controlling your mood is to be armed with gratitude.
Immediately remember every GOOD thing that is still in your life irrespective of the bad; your life, health, spirituality, family, job, talents, spouse, friends, even things that may seem trivial like the good food you eat, clothes, and your favorite pair of shoes. This practice creates an invisible shield around you that blocks the negative from penetrating your soul. This doesn't mean you won't get irritated and frustrated at times, but it does mean that you won't let it potentially lead you to bitterness and depression.
Once you understand that the God who created you did so for a reason, you realize that no one and nothing can stop your purpose, no matter how hard they try, unless you let them. If you stay in the "zone of gratitude" then I promise that you will have a greater love and appreciation for the good you already have and will feel an overwhelming addition of blessings as you go through your life.
