Nine Laws of Attraction for Men

Ladies! I'm here again to offer some of my words of wisdom. I hear steady complaints from women about their sad, single lives and how they can't get or keep a man. Well, I'm not a licensed expert in dating/relationship issues but I have dated all my life and know many women in long, successful relationships. In addition, I've talked to my male friends and have used their information and all my experiences to come up with ten key factors that not only attract a man to a woman, but also keep his interest piqued in a relationship.

1. Smile

Don't underestimate the power of a smile. A smile lights your face up, makes you more attractive, and warms your demeanor automatically. Guys see you smile and feel relaxed, invited, and more willing to approach you. So ladies please make sure to keep up with your brushing, flossing, and teeth whitening because you're dentition is more important in catching a man's eye than you may think.

2. Scent

Scent of a Woman. One of my favorite movies! Al Pacino was excellent. But I digress. The scent I am referring to in this case is your body smell. There is nothing sexier than when a man passes by and the smell of his cologne lingers afterwards as an intoxicating, delicious parting gift. The same goes for women. Find a sweet-smelling perfume and wear it regularly when going out on a date, to the mall, or even to the grocery store. Men love when a lady smells good and find it very attractive. I can remember many guys that have complimented me about my scent, which I like to think is a rather lovely one.

3. Hair

Please keep up with your hairdo's ladies. It's a common misconception that fellas don't notice when you change your hairstyles; that is only true when it is hairstyles they like and feel look good on you! When your hair looks a stringy, tangled or oily mess believe me they notice. Be it natural, relaxed, weave, straight, or curly you need to take good care of your hair with regular conditioning, moisturizing and styling.

4. Make-up

I am the first advocate of natural beauty but I am also the first person to admit that most ladies need a touch-up now and again. There are so many harsh chemicals and toxins that we expose our skin to in the environment and even in our homes (soaps, creams, etc) that deteriorate it's quality and beauty. Light face powder, lip gloss, and eye shadow help to cover up blemishes and uneven skin tone as well as brighten up your facial glow. Don't get me wrong, there are many people that go overboard with makeup and become unrecognizable which is just ridiculous. Applying base primer, foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, eye shadow, mascara, eyebrow pencil, and lip gloss all at the same time is entirely TOO MUCH not to mention expensive.

5. Personal Style

You don't need the latest Versace or Alexander McQueen gown to look beautiful; simply pairing a dark pair of skinny jeans with a light-colored, loose shirt and matching shoes will have you looking chic and sexy. The key is learning what styles and cuts work for you. Focus on clothes that positively accentuate your shape and assets. Also, adding accessory pieces (scarves, hats, purses, belts, sunglasses, etc) definitely help to complete your look and attract the male eye your way.

6. Personal Hygiene

This point is a little more sensitive but I have to discuss it because it is equally important. I am flawed by the surprisingly large number of women I know that don't maintain good personal hygiene. Ladies, ladies, ladies. It is imperative that you have an effective, consistent hygiene regimen. Brush your teeth daily! Please. You will be surprised how many gals I know who don't. It keeps your teeth feeling cleaner, looking whiter, mouth smelling fresh, and helps you avoid dental problems like tooth decay and gingivitis. Shower at least once daily. It is necessary to wash off the dirt your body has accumulated and keep your body odor down to a minimum; deodorant and perfume can only cover so much. I personally recommend twice a day, once in the morning and once at night before you go to bed, but I won't push my luck. Lastly, let's talk about vajayjay maintenance. Muy Importante! Please make sure to wash and constantly shave/wax that area to keep it looking nice and groomed. Unless your man has specified his preference for the au naturale look, chances are he is not digging your "garden of Eden" and will find it a turnoff.

7. Cook

This is a controversial one because many modern working women like to associate cooking with female oppression and domestication, stifling our growth and productivity as individuals and in the workforce. I call that BULLSHIT. Absolute nonsense. Cooking doesn't stop you from doing a damn thing. It is a cheap excuse that too many women use to cover up the fact that they are either too lazy or too afraid to learn. It is embarrassing to stand proud behind such an inability. It is a great talent and joy to be able to go into the kitchen and whip up a delicious dish that you and your loved ones can enjoy. I am a proud cook and wouldn't have it any other way. Aside from the benefit of being able to feed yourself, it is a huge turn-on for guys if a lady can cook. They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and it is so true. I haven't met a man yet that isn't appreciative and turned on by a woman that can cook well. It is a loving, endearing thing to do for a guy that shows him you care and I am all for it.

8. Humor

There's nothing sexier than a girl who can laugh with others. Guys love a girl that is funny, witty, and can take a good joke. Some ladies are too sensitive and take offense when a guy makes a light joke about them. It makes men feel uncomfortable around you and unable to share their humor with you. As long as he has no malicious intent behind his light jabs then I say relax, enjoy the jokes and dish 'em right back.

9. Intelligible conversation

A woman who can hold intellectual conversation is a definite turn-on for guys. You mustn't know everything about social stratification and political warfare but it is definitely a plus if you have some knowledge about the current state of the social and economic world with some interest in the lifestyles of different cultures globally. It is definitely refreshing for guys to talk to girls who aren't just consumed with thoughts of money, fashion, and their own narcissistic desires.

There you have it. My nine laws of attraction. There are obviously other endless ones that are important like a positive attitude, maintaining a desirable physique, spirituality, education, and more which I would love to go into detail about but I don't have all night. The most important thing to remember is that you should always strive to be the best version of yourself you can be without losing your essence. It's nice to have the affection of men but not at the cost of losing your identity and the things that make you happy. Also, all these points can and should be applied to men too. It is just as necessary for a man to put forth his best self to attract women as it is for us.
